Bio

Allyson C. Sheneman is an astrobiologist, evolutionary biologist, and planetary scientist whose research explores the evolution of life, the limits of life in extreme environments, and the potential for life beyond Earth. She approaches these questions by looking up (to other worlds), looking in (to microbial life), and looking down (to cave-dwelling extremophiles). A passionate science communicator, Allyson is dedicated to making science accessible, meaningful, and engaging for all audiences, drawing connections between scientific discovery and everyday life.
